LOST SOULS AND EVIL THOUGHTS (2002)

LOST SOULS (2003)

STONE RIDGE (2003)

MINDS OF TERROR (2003)

Vandoren tortures Andy and Karla in MINDS OF TERROR and LOST SOULS

In many ways, these four titles are for the same film. However, there were four distinct versions of the Horror/Thriller film made in 2002 and 2003. Mark Adams was approached to write and direct two short segments for a feature length movie being produced by Chris Watson of Wild Range Productions. These would be two of several other short segments for a horror film called MINDS OF TERROR. Before production began, Mark was asked to take one of his short segments and expand it into the main segment of the film. Mark Adams also took both of his segments and made each one of them their own short films called LOST SOULS AND EVIL THOUGHTS and STONE RIDGE. Mark also combined the two segments he wrote and directed, without the other short segments starring Eric Spudic and Conrad Brooks that would appear in Chris Watson’s version, and made the feature-length film LOST SOULS. Mark wanted to have a definitive version of his vision of the final, feature-length film since he would have no control over the final editing of MINDS OF TERROR.

Joe Estevez in MINDS OF TERROR, LOST SOULS and LOST SOULS AND EVIL THOUGHTS

Synopsis for LOST SOULS

LOST SOULS is a horror/thriller that begins with a man named Jeffery Vandoren, who is suffering from amnesia and is stranded at a farmhouse while looking for help after a car accident. He begins to see strange things, and he doesn’t know if he’s really seeing ghosts or if he’s hallucinating due to his head injury. He meets Brad Noland, who is also trapped in the house, and they begin to suspect one another of their true intentions. The answers are revealed when a mysterious man, played by Hollywood actor and Martin Sheen’s brother, Joe Estevez, suddenly appears and confronts them.

Ten years later a college reporter named Karla Terry and her brother, Bobby, are traveling with fellow student Andy Carlson to an abandoned mental health facility called Stone Ridge.

When Andy was young he saw ghosts of an earlier and deadly patient revolt, and Karla wants to write a story about his experience. To their surprise they find a former counselor, Jeffery Vandoren, still living at Stone Ridge.

Trapped for the night, the student investigators discover the terrifying secrets and dangerous evil of the Stone Ridge Mental Health Facility.
