Mark and Morgan Adams return to Patriots Point (12/22/09)

2009

On December 22, 2009 Mark and his daughter, Morgan, returned for another visit to Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.

There had been a major change at Patriots Point since their last visit. The Destroyer USS Laffey had been moved to another location in Charleston for major renovation. The previous year Mark and Morgan couldn't tour the ship due to the problems they were having at the time. And due to the on-going economic problems of "The Great Recession" that started the year before, Patriots Point was forced to sell the USS Ingham Coast Guard Cutter to a museum in Florida. So on the day of their visit Mark and Morgan could only tour the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier and the USS Clamagore Submarine.
